My Journey With Design Secrets — A Story of Soulful Design

About two and a half years ago, something unexpected happened.
I received a simple message that opened a whole new chapter:
Design Secrets invited me to join their TV program and share the creative world behind my work.

Twelve weeks on national television (October, November, December), every Sunday right before dinnertime — and I said yes without thinking twice.

Not because I wanted to be “on TV”.
But because it finally felt like the right moment to show what design really means to me.

For me, architecture has never been “just walls”.
It’s emotion. It’s memory. It’s identity.
It’s the story of who we are and who we are becoming.

And suddenly all the things I love came together in one place:

  • 🎥 storytelling
  • ✍️ creation
  • 🌍 culture
  • 🏠 living
  • 🏗️ building
  • 💛 awareness

It felt like a doorway into something bigger — a chance to create with purpose.

Creating With Purpose — The Heart Behind Richards Architecture / Koroots

Every design I make starts with a story. Not the kind of story you write… but the kind you feel.

I’ve lived and worked across the world — learning from locals, makers, cultures, and communities far beyond the familiar. Those experiences shaped my entire philosophy on design:

  • why we need more outside-the-box thinking
  • why spaces should carry meaning
  • why awareness and education can live inside creativity
  • why architecture is storytelling in disguise
  • why a design without soul… touches nothing

A space isn’t just a room.
It’s a world you create between the walls.

My work is inspired by:

  • 🌿 nature
  • 🏛️ cultural heritage
  • 🌀 movement, memory & identity
  • ✧ the stories people carry within them
  • ♻ sustainable thinking

I try to bridge the space between:

  • the known and the unknown
  • tradition and innovation
  • the individual and the collective
  • the universal and the deeply personal

We may all live different lives, but we share one thing:
the need to create something meaningful.
And creation always starts with openness, curiosity, and love for what is different.

Craftsmanship Comes First

Everything I create is:

  • ✔ unique
  • ✔ custom-made
  • ✔ sketched by hand
  • ✔ built together with passionate makers

I don’t buy from wholesalers.
I work with artisans — people who live and breathe their craft:

  • steel
  • wood
  • natural stone
  • light
  • glass
  • reclaimed materials

Every material carries a memory.
Every maker adds energy.
Every piece has a heartbeat.
